1. Introduction
Welcome to Reborn. Protecting your personal data and privacy is at the heart of our priorities. This policy explains how your data is collected, used, and protected.
2. What data do we collect?
Based on a technical audit of our data backend, here is the strict list of elements we store:
- Profile data: Username, email address, age range, profession, and Apple ID (if used for login).
- Directory data (anonymized): If you choose to find friends, your phone numbers are processed cryptographically (SHA-256 hash) for matchmaking. We do not read or store your actual contacts in plain text.
- Progression data (Gamification): Your Hexagon scores, level, number of completed routines, streaks, and overall points.
What about your health data (e.g., Step count)?
We DO NOT store your raw health data. Although the Reborn app may use the Apple HealthKit API (Pedometer) to validate physical challenges (like walking), your total step count is processed exclusively locally on your phone. Our server only receives and stores a "Challenge successful" signal (routine_completed) and not your raw health data.
3. How do we use your data?
- To create and maintain your account.
- To connect you with your friends in the app (via the protected hash system).
- To track sessions and analyze anonymized statistics to improve Reborn.
4. Sharing and Security
Your passwords are salted and encrypted (bcrypt). Reborn does not sell any of your personal data to third parties. Data is hosted on secure servers and transmitted via HTTPS.
